The first reported foal by Horse of the Year and two-time Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner Cody's Wish was born Jan. 6 at Ramiro Salazar's Phoenix Farm and Racing in Georgetown, Ky.
Cody's Wish is Curlin 's only five-time grade 1-winning son; he is out of the grade 1-winning Tapit mare Dance Card. Trained by Bill Mott, the 7-year-old won more than $3.1 million and retired with a record of 11-1-4 from 16 starts.
Owned by Frederick & May Construction, the colt is out of the multiple grade 2 winner Hotshot Anna, who was purchased by her owner at Keeneland's November Sale in 2022 for $400,000.
