With a lack of major fixtures for older horses over the past week, Magnitude remained No. 1 in the National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Top Thoroughbred Poll released July 7.

Voted on by the national media, the poll is designed to give the public a feel for who will win Horse of the Year each season. Magnitude received 27 of 28 first-place votes, and 288 points overall.

The 4-year-old son of Not This Time  won the Stephen Foster Stakes (G1) June 27 at Churchill Downs by 1 1/4 lengths over the Bill Mott-trained Baeza. He is a perfect 3-for-3 in 2026, which includes a win in the $12 million Dubai World Cup (G1).

Metropolitan Handicap (G1) winner Nysos received one first-place vote and remains an unchanged second with 254 total points. Kentucky Derby (G1) and Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Golden Tempo sits third with 143 total points, widening the gap between him and last year's Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner Forever Young (129).

White Abarrio, who held the No.1 spot the week after his victory over Sovereignty in the Oaklawn Handicap (G2) stayed at No. 7, receiving just four fewer points than the reigning Horse of the Year.
