The Wesley Ward-trainee looks to add her first graded stakes victory to her resume.

Ten Broeck Farm's Waggley is no stranger to beating her 2-year-old male counterparts. After besting male rivals in the April 29 Kentucky Juvenile Stakes at Churchill Downs, the Wesley Ward trainee looks to extend her perfect 2-for-2 record facing males once again in the 6-furlong $225,000 Sanford Stakes (G3) July 4 at Saratoga Race Course

Waggley's coming-out party came April 8 at Keeneland, where she cruised to an impressive 3 1/2-length debut victory in a maiden special weight. Setting all the fractions, she pulled off the first starter/first winner combo for her sire, WinStar Farm's exciting freshman stallion Life Is Good .

Out of the Malibu Moon mare Lunar Empress, Waggley was bought for $200,000 at the 2025 Keeneland September Yearling Sale by agent Ben McElroy for owner Ten Broeck Farm out of the Taylor Made Sales Agency consignment.

The only other contender with more than one start under their belt is Booked, who Steve Asmussen trains for owners Jackpot Farm, Alvin Fults, Jason Itkin, and Michael Smith.

A son of Yaupon , Booked recently broke his maiden June 7 at Saratoga as the favorite in front of fellow Sanford starter Jack's Golden Goal. His lone prior start resulted in a second-place finish in another maiden special weight April 28 at Churchill Downs at 4 1/2 furlongs.

Six out of the nine entrants are coming off debut maiden victories, including Goodbye to Romance, Pocket Listing, Vissino, Ashcroft Lane, Rasasi, and the $1.4 million colt Regent's Park. The latter is cross-entered in the July 5 Proud Man Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
