In an effort to make up the days lost to the recent blizzard that impacted the Northeast, Parx Racing has added two Thursday cards: March 5 and 12. Beginning on Monday, March 9, the track will shift to a 12:40 p.m. ET regular first post.

Grade 2 winner Scaramouche Retired

Graded stakes winner Scaramouche has been retired through Turning for Home, the on-track retirement program at Parx. The 7-year-old Munnings  gelding won seven of his 30 starts for trainer Guadalupe Preciado and owner Nicholas Cammarano Jr., earning $489,750. His marquee win came in the 2022 Gallant Bob Stakes (G2) at Parx on Pennsylvania Derby Day. He also won the 2022 Rittenhouse Square Stakes at Parx and placed that same year in the Concern Stakes at Laurel Park and Steel Valley Sprint Stakes at Mahoning Valley Race Course.

"Turning For Home is what the PTHA and our horsemen are most proud of," Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association executive director Jeff Matty said. "These horses give us everything on the track, it's our responsibility to give them everything off of it. As we approach our 5,000th horse to enter our program, we reflect on all of those who made this possible, especially our membership who fundraise, support, and entrust us with these amazing equine athletes."
