Multiple grade/group 1 winner Didia, who missed a start and the chance to become a repeat winner in the Jan. 25 Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational Stakes (G2T) at Gulfstream Park, has been officially retired and will be bred to Nyquist , co-owner John Stewart of Resolute Racing posted on social media Jan. 30.

In late December, trainer Ignacio Correas IV had said she would be retired, but Stewart clarified that a decision had yet to be made. He noted that she had recent surgery, and his team desired to wait "for her to recover before we make any decisions on her retirement."

Bred by La Manija in Argentina, Didia—a daughter of Orpen out of the Rainbow Corner mare Delambre—became that country's champion 3-year-old filly of 2021 off a pair of group 1 wins there.

Resolute Racing became a 50% owner in Didia with partner Merriebelle Stable following a neck victory in the 2024 Pegasus Filly and Mare Turf. In two highlights from last year's campaign, she took the June 7 New York Stakes (G1T) at Saratoga Race Course and ran third in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1T) at Del Mar.

Per a June news story in BloodHorse, Stewart's Resolute Racing owns 100% of 6-year-old Didia now that she is retired from racing to become a broodmare.

Nyquist finished 2024 as the 14th-ranked general sire of last year, buoyed by the achievements of progeny such as 2024 champion 2-year-old filly Immersive, and grade 1 winners Randomized and Johannes. He stands this year for $175,000 at Darley in Kentucky.
