Heavy rains have forced the postponement of the Aug. 3 Saratoga Derby Invitational Stakes (G1T) and Troy Stakes (G2T) at Saratoga Race Course until Aug. 10 at the Upstate New York track.
Saturday's Lure Stakes has been shifted from the turf course to the sloppy main track and will be contested at a one-mile distance.
The rest of the day's turf races, races 1, 4, 9, and 13, have also been moved to the main track.
In terms of post times, the card will still end with the 13th race at 6:50 p.m. Post time for the featured Whitney Stakes (G1) remains 5:42 p.m.
The new post times are:
- Race 2: 12:45 p.m.
- Race 3: 1:25 p.m.
- Race 4: 2:05 p.m.
- Race 5: 2:45 p.m.
- Race 6: 3:25 p.m.
- Race 7: Canceled
- Race 8: The Test Stakes (G1) 4:08 p.m.
- Race 9: The Lure 4:52 p.m.
- Race 10: Canceled
- Race 11: The Whitney 5:42 p.m.
- Race 12: 6:17 p.m.
- Race 13: 6:50 p.m.
As for wagering, any multi-race wagers that include races 7 and 10 have been canceled and will be refunded.
The two-day All Turf Pick 5, which started Aug. 2 with the Saratoga Oaks Invitational Stakes (G2T) and National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2T), will pay out to ALL for the final three legs: Saratoga Derby, Lure, and Troy.
