Pleasant Acres Stallions announced Jan. 18 the arrival of Gunnevera 's first reported foal, a colt out of the Bluegrass Cat mare Brass Cat.
Gunnevera, an 8-year-old son of Dialed In , is a six-time grade 1-placed, multiple grade 2 winner, who retired with a 6-5-3 record from 21 starts and earned $5,561,800. He entered stud at Pleasant Acres in 2021 and stands this year for $6,000.

Gunnevera was accomplished at 2 when he won the Saratoga Special Stakes (G2) and $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes (G3). At 3, he won the Xpressbet Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2), finished third in the Xpressbet Florida Derby (G1), in the summer was runner-up in the Travers Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1). At 4, he would be runner-up again in the Woodward Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1) and the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), and at 5 finished third in the Dubai World Cup Sponsored by Emirates Airline (G1).
Brass Cat's first foal, Hard Rock Gold (Greatness), owned and bred by Martine Britell, became a winner last year at Laurel Park. The mare is out of stakes-placed stakes producer South Wing (Dixie Brass).
