The Jockey Club released the following statement June 20:
The InCompass Track Manager software-as-a service platform enables racetrack personnel and veterinarians to access a variety of third-party information. We and our racetrack customers maintain narrow control over who may access this information, including third-party veterinarian's list information. While it appears that some veterinarian's list information was presented in a pair of past performances distributed by an unknown party, a portion of the included veterinarian's information is not available via the Track Manager system, and it is unclear if Track Manager was used to access the information in this case.
InCompass facilitates access to horse health information for equine welfare purposes only, not for use in gaming activity, and we unequivocally note that InCompass has no relationships with and does not provide computer-assisted wagering operations with access to any information or data. InCompass maintains robust protections against unauthorized system access and does not condone the misuse of or the improper dissemination of data for purposes for which it is not intended. Our team is continuing its investigation and review of our records relating to veterinarian's list information and thus far has not identified any unusual, unauthorized, or suspicious activity. We will continue our vigilance and will report our findings as appropriate. InCompass will continue working with HISA and our racetrack partners on possible measures to further safeguard access to veterinarian's list information.
