Churchill Downs will launch Gallop For Good; a virtual charity campaign in effort to support nonprofit Thoroughbred aftercare organizations nationwide

Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN) ("CDI") announced today Gallop for Good: From Race to Retirement (“Gallop for Good”), a national online giving campaign supporting Thoroughbred aftercare nonprofits, centered around a one-day giving event on June 27.

As part of the campaign, Gallop for Good will bring together nonprofits, donors and industry partners with a shared commitment to the lifelong welfare of Thoroughbred horses through a centralized online peer-to-to-peer giving platform connecting aftercare organizations across the country. The day will be celebrated as part of Stephen Foster Day at Churchill Downs Racetrack. Gallop for Good supports Thoroughbred aftercare, which includes programs and services that help retired racehorses transition into second careers, adoption, rehabilitation, sanctuary and lifelong care after racing. Hosted by CDI, the campaign will operate through a centralized online platform, giving participating organizations the opportunity to raise critical funds, expand their reach and engage new supporters.

The public can support Gallop for Good on June 27 by donating to participating organizations through  https://churchilldowns.com/gallopforgood. Donations made as part of the one-day giving event may be matched or boosted through additional fundraising incentives. Supporters may also purchase dining and reserved seating tickets for Stephen Foster Day at Churchill Downs, with $5 from every ticket directly benefiting the organizations participating in Gallop for Good through the Churchill Downs Foundation. Eligible tickets may be purchased at https://www.gofevo.com/group/GallopforGood. “Thoroughbred aftercare reflects our industry’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of horses during and after their racing careers,” said Claire Simms, Sr. Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. “Through Gallop for Good, we are proud to help amplify the work of aftercare organizations across the country and
provide an easy way for donors and industry partners to support safe, dignified futures for retired racehorses.”

Donors can easily discover and contribute to trusted aftercare programs that provide retraining, adoption, sanctuary, rehabilitation and second-career opportunities for retired racehorses. By uniting the Thoroughbred community around a single day of action, Gallop for Good aims to generate meaningful support for organizations dedicated to ensuring that every racehorse has a safe and dignified life beyond the track.

Participating organizations will receive access to promotional resources, campaign tools and support to help maximize their fundraising efforts. Eligible organizations include any 501(c)3 nonprofit in good standing with the IRS that provides services to Thoroughbred racehorses. The campaign is designed to be inclusive and welcomes participation from organizations across the aftercare community.
