The first reported foal by Lone Star Stallions' Arrogates Hercules is a colt born Feb. 20 in Texas to breeder Daniel Bates.
Bates bred the colt, who is the first foal out of the Run Away and Hide daughter Ruby Soho. The mare is out of the Rock Hard Ten winner Katie's Ten, who has produced four winners from six foals to race.
Arrogates Hercules is the only son of the late Arrogate standing in the Southwest. Arrogate won four grade 1 stakes on his way to becoming the richest North American-based racehorse with $17,422,600 in earnings. A young stallion who stands at Caines Stallion Station near Wynnewood, Okla., Arrogates Hercules never raced due to a dispute among the partners who owned him.
Arrogates Hercules was eventually sold for $10,000 during the 2024 Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale and retired to stud because of his pedigree.
Arrogates Hercules is out of the multiple graded-placed stakes winner Willet, a daughter of Jump Start who raced from 3 to 8 and compiled a 10-9-7 record from 31 starts. She won five stakes, including a 9 1/4-length romp in the 2012 Iroquois Stakes at Belmont Park in which she earned a 118 Equibase Speed Figure. She also ran second by a neck in the Go For Wand Handicap (G2), earning a 115 ESF.
Caines Stallion Station stands Arrogates Hercules for $1,500.
