Keeneland's April Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET closing day of the spring meet April 25. Click here for the online catalog and here for past performances and advanced speed figures.
The April sale, which will be livestreamed on Keeneland.com, will begin following the racing action that starts at 12:30 p.m. to accommodate 10 races. The ninth race is the featured $350,000 Bewitch Stakes (G3T). Post time for the final race is 5:09 p.m.
A total of 86 horses are in the catalog, including four horses in the latest round of supplements. They are:
- Diriyah, a 3-year-old filly by Good Magic who scored her first win at Horseshoe Indianapolis at 2 and most recently ran in the Gazelle Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct Racetrack. Consigned by ELiTE, agent, she is out of the winning Bodemeister mare Logic of Absurdity.
- Honorary American, a 3-year-old colt by Churchill who is in training for his 2025 debut after two starts at 2, including an appearance in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot in England. Out of the winning Bernardini mare Heartlines, he is from the family of grade 2 winner Minister Wife and grade 3 winners Marietta, Banishing, and Watershed. Hunter Valley Farm, agent, consigns Honorary American.
- Masmak, a 4-year-old son of Vino Rosso who is a four-time winner over the winter at Aqueduct and most recently was third in the Excelsior Stakes there April 5. Consigned by ELiTE, agent, he is out of grade 3-placed Nite in Rome and is a half brother to grade 2 winner Three Technique and stakes winner Stan the Man.
- Navy Chief, a 3-year-old gelding by Wootton Bassett consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent. He is out of the winning Declaration of War mare Livvys Dream and from the family of European champion and 1996 Breeders' Cup Turf (G1T) winner Pilsudski.
The catalog, also available through the Equineline Sales Catalog iPad app, includes pedigrees, Daily Racing Form past performances, and Ragozin and Thoro-Graph figures. Consignors may upload photographs and walking videos.
A print catalog is available for pickup at Keeneland's Information Center (formerly called the Welcome Center) located near the Grandstand South and Clubhouse entrance. A supplemental catalog will be printed prior to the sale.
Preparing for the April Sale
Buyers who plan to attend the April sale or participate remotely should register for an account and establish credit within the Keeneland Sales Portal, which can be accessed from the buyers' resources page. Keeneland recommends beginning this process as soon as possible.
Online and phone bidding available: Buyers may watch a real-time video view of the live sale and bid simultaneously from Keeneland's online bidding platform accessible through their accounts in the Keeneland Sales Portal. Two online options are available: a live, on-demand bid that occurs manually and a max bid, which allows the software to bid on your behalf up to a designated price.
