The new Maryland Jockey Club (TMJC), in conjunction with 1/ST Racing, today announced the field and morning line odds for the Preakness Stakes Future Win Wager. This separate wagering pool involves "WIN" wagering on the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course on May 17.

There are 40 betting interests in the Preakness Stakes Future Win Wager, with the 40th betting interest being the pari-mutuel field, or "all other 3-year-olds."

The wagering pool opens on Friday, April 25, at noon ET and will close on Saturday, May 3, at 6:00 pm ET. The Preakness Stakes Future Win Wager requires a $2 minimum bet with 18 percent takeout. The wager is available at all participating ADWs.

Journalism is the 8-1 morning line favorite. Trained by Michael McCarthy, the Curlin colt won his last four races, including the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby on April 5. He will likely make his next start in the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 3.

Baeza (12-1) finished second in the Santa Anita Derby, three-quarters of a length behind Journalism. Trained by John Shirreffs, Baeza will likely enter the Kentucky Derby as an also eligible.

Several horses are at 15-1. Among them is Pay Billy, who earned an automatic berth into the Preakness by winning Laurel Park's Federico Tesio Stakes on April 19. Trained by Michael Gorham for RKTN Racing, Pay Billy is a colt by Improbable.
