The final pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager is set to make its three-day run April 3-5, where Santa Anita Derby (G1) contender Journalism was tabbed as the 4-1 favorite in the field of 39 individual horses, plus a 40th option for "All Other 3-Year-Olds" not listed.

Unlike the first five Kentucky Derby Future Wager pools, Pool 6 will close Saturday at approximately 4 p.m. ET, before the $750,000 Wood Memorial Stakes (G2), $1.25 million Blue Grass Stakes (G1),and $500,000 Santa Anita Derby.

Wagering for Pool 6 opens Thursday at noon ET through simulcast and ADW outlets nationwide. Win and exacta wagering is offered.

The Michael McCarthy-trained Journalism, the impressive winner of last month's San Felipe Stakes (G2), is set to face a compact field in the Santa Anita Derby, including Eclipse Award winner Citizen Bull and San Felipe runner-up Barnes, both trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert. Journalism closed as the 5-1 favorite in Pool 5 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager in mid-March after his San Felipe victory.
