The catalog for the 2025 Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale can now be viewed online.

A total of 250 2-year-olds have been cataloged for the sale, which will take place May 22-23, with copies of the catalog available from Tattersalls Ireland and Tattersalls Ireland representatives April 8.

The sale will take place on the eve of the Tattersalls Guineas Festival at The Curragh, with horses breezing from 8:30 a.m. local time May 22, and the sale commencing at 10:00 a.m. May 23.

The sale has produced a strong blend of precocious juveniles while also gaining a reputation for offering a later-maturing type. Among last year's graduates was Coto De Caza, who improved through her juvenile campaign and culminated with a fine win in the Cornwallis Stakes (G3) at Newmarket.

The Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale yielded a record turnover and the highest clearance rate of all the breeze up sales in 2024.

Classic placed New Energy (IRE) landed a blow for older graduates of the sale when the former Sheila Lavery trainee won a valuable group 3 at the Caulfield spring finale meeting.

Other graduates of note include Purple Lily (IRE), who placed in the Irish Oaks (G1) last season and will hold strong claims in top-tier races this current season. Letsbefrankaboutit (IRE) won the Round Tower Stakes (G3), while Kairyu (IRE) won her first two racecourse starts, including the Anglesey Stakes (G3), within weeks of being purchased.

The catalog features siblings to a number of stakes winners and performers, including a St Mark's Basilica half brother to the dual group 1 winner Limato (Lot 43). A Cotai Glory half sister to Purple Lily (Lot 27) will be offered, along with an Alkumait (GB) half brother to Caulfield Cup (G1) winner Deny Knowledge (Lot 228).

The offspring of some well-related mares are also cataloged, including a Medaglia d'Oro  colt out of a half sister to multiple U.S. grade 1 winner Improbable (Lot 187). A Wootton Bassett colt out of a sister to listed winner Albaraah (Lot 226), and a Kameko filly out of a winning sister to smart stayer Nayef Road (Lot 15) will be offered. A Night of Thunder colt out of a winning sister to U.S. group 1 winner Digital Age (Lot 38) features, while an Ardad filly out of Fred Darling Stakes (G3) winner Puff (Lot 176) is among those being offered.

In total, 88 different sires are represented, with Starman the strongest numerically with 20 2-year-olds. The stock of Sioux Nation was popular 12 months ago, with a daughter of the Coolmore stallion attracting the top price of €370,000, while Coto De Caza was purchased for €270,000.

"The Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale has experienced extraordinary growth year on year, and an incredible number of purchasers have attended in recent years from across the globe," Tattersalls Ireland CEO Simon Kerins said.

"The quality throughout the catalog has continued to grow exponentially, thanks to consignors recognizing that the sale attracts agents, owners, and trainers with significant buying power. This catalog is our strongest yet and there will be a horse for every level of the market. Our graduates continue to excel on the racetrack, the best advertisement for the sale."
