John Stewart's new and notable Resolute Racing has joined Horse Country and will begin offering tours of their farm in Midway, Kentucky starting March 25. Established in 2023, Resolute Racing has entered the horse racing scene at full stride, quickly becoming a comprehensive breeding and racing operation. From the beginning of Resolute Racing, founder John Stewart has led his team in championing unique opportunities for transparency, inclusivity, and accessibility in the equine industry, with tours and experiences of his farm as the natural next step in his equine endeavors.
"Resolute Racing and their efforts to promote horse racing and equine welfare directly aligns with our shared mission in Horse Country, to connect guests to the horse, land, and people of Kentucky's signature equine industry. We are thrilled and grateful to work with their team in providing more of those opportunities for connection in Horse Country. We are proud to be a platform from which John and the entire team at Resolute can share their story."
Tours of Resolute Racing will be offered three days a week through the spring. Guests will get a behind-the-scenes experience highlighting the dedication and expertise required to run a top-tier breeding operation. The tour covers everything from the foaling barn to Resolute's admirable efforts in aftercare. Resolute Racing is proud to introduce guests to the horses they have rescued from at-risk situations, offering them a haven and home.
Stewart, a Lexington home-bred and avid horse racing fan, joined the ranks of horse racing ownership in 2022. His first yearling purchase, a filly named Shiloh's Mistress, went on to become Resolute Racing's very first winner on the track in 2023. Since then, Resolute Racing has grown in numbers and in success, securing their first Grade 1 victory in 2024 with Didia in the G1 New York Stakes at Saratoga Racecourse.
Resolute Racing's tour will highlight their breeding operation in Midway, the former Shadayid Stud of Shadwell, and the notable race mares now broodmares residing at the farm; including Goodnight Olive (2x Eclipse Champion and Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint Winner), Puca (dam of Kentucky Derby winner Mage and Belmont Stakes winner Dornoch), Queen Caroline (dam of Eclipse Champion and Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Forte) and Resolute's first G1W, Didia.
"Resolute Racing is thrilled to welcome visitors through our gates in partnership with Horse Country!" Shared Julianna Havnaer from Resolute Racing's team. "Committed to transparency in the industry, John takes great pride in offering guests the opportunity to experience the farm firsthand and see where the magic happens. We invite you to tour our farm, meet our cherished mares and foals, and share in the beauty of our operation."
