Four fillies worked a furlong in :09 4/5 June 9 during the first session of the under-tack show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales June 2-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age Sale.
Hip 59, a New York-bred filly by Central Banker , was the first to record the co-fastest furlong of the day. The filly is out of the stakes-placed Juddmonte-bred mare Amabilis, who is by Juddmonte's multiple graded stakes winner Champs Elysees. She was purchased as a yearling for $11,000 by Team Fun at the 2025 Fasig-Tipton October Kentucky Yearlings Sale, and is offered by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock, agent.
"I was pretty confident she would go in :09 4/5 because she's been really nice on the farm and has prepped really well here," Omar Ramirez said. "She did everything right. She's a good filly; she tries really hard. She was not really that big when we got her, so we decided to give her plenty of time to get the sale. I'm excited.
"This is one of my favorite sales where I always try to bring good horses here. This sale has always been good to me. And this has been a dream year for me. My clients gave me great horses, they trust me and gave me the opportunity. Even when we started breaking (babies at the start of the year), I was like, 'I think we're going to have a really good year because the horses were moving so pretty on the farm.' I have great partners, great owners. April was a dream sale. This is my home here."
Ramirez sold a colt by Speaker's Corner at the OBS Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale for $875,000—the highest-priced horse he has sold to date.
Three others tied for the co-fastest furlong of the day, including Hip 93, a filly by Mo Donegal ; Hip 142, a filly by Independence Hall ; and Hip 173, a filly by Colonel Liam .
Hip 93 was bred in Kentucky by Forever Spring Farm out of the stakes-placed and stakes-placed-producing mare Bakken Baby. Colts Neck Stables purchased the filly for $200,000 at the OBS March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale. She is offered by Envision Equine, agent.
Hip 142 was bred in New York by Moni Market Breeders out of the mare Boom Boom Vroom, who is a half sister to to eight winners, including graded stakes winner Sindy With an S and the graded stakes-placed and stakes-winning Indian Winter. S.G. purchased Hip 142 for $20,000 at the 2025 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Little Farm Equine, agent, consigns the filly.
Hip 173, offered by Champions of the Future, agent, was bred in Florida by Daniel Pita. The filly is the second foal of the Uncaptured mare Cat Diva. Hip 173 was picked up by Raidel Gonzalez for $10,000 at last year's OBS October Yearling Sale.
Twenty juveniles recorded a furlong in :10, and seven horses worked a quarter-mile in :21.
