The 41-day Thoroughbred meet at Lone Star Park will begin April 16 and conclude July 12.
The calendar features live racing on Thursdays and Fridays at 6:35 p.m. CT; Saturdays, Sundays, and Memorial Day at 1:35 p.m.; and special twilight post times of 5 p.m. on July 3 and July 4.
The stakes schedule will feature 21 Thoroughbred races worth a combined $2,650,000. The highlight of the schedule is Lone Star Million Day on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, with six stakes. The marquee day includes the $400,000 guaranteed Steve Sexton Mile (G3) for 3-year-olds and up at a mile and the $300,000 guaranteed Texas Derby for 3-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles.
Other than the $75,000 Bluebonnet Stakes, which kicks off the season on opening night, all other Thoroughbred stakes will be held on one of four dates. They are:
- Lone Star Million Day, Monday, May 25—six stakes worth a total of $1,200,000.
- Lone Star Showcase Day, Saturday, June 13—five stakes worth a total of $375,000.
- Summer Turf Festival, Saturday, June 27—four stakes worth a total of $625,000.
- Stars of Texas Day, Saturday, July 11—five stakes worth a total of $375,000.
Additionally, there will also be four stakes for Arabians to be run on Friday, June 12, and on Friday, July 10.
