Inglis Digital USA Releases April Sale Catalog
The catalog for the Inglis Digital USA April Sale is now online, featuring a diverse catalog of 20 horses on offer. Bidding is currently open for the online auction, with the first horse in the catalog closing April 23 at 2 p.m. ET, and subsequent listings hammering in three-minute increments. View the Catalog Here The auction's slate of racing-age offerings includes the 4-year-old Sitka, a five-time-winning Speightstown gelding who still holds his N2X condition—nonwinners of two races other than maiden, claiming, or starter allowance races—and he is eligible to compete in the Claiming Crown Nov. 15 at Churchill Downs. Sitka enters the sale off a front-running score in a six-furlong starter allowance race April 4 at Oaklawn Park, where he won by 1 1/4 lengths and matched his career-best 88 Beyer Speed Figure for trainer Matt Williams and owners Wade Jensik and Rod Zohn. All four of his starts this year resulted in a Beyer of 79 of higher. Sitka also posted a 5 Thoromanager, 4 Thoro-Graph, and 8 Ragozin in his most recent win. JZ Racing Stables consigns Sitka, as agent. Buyers looking to add a 2-year-old with upside to their stable will take note of Baytown Dreamer, a Mendelssohn colt who finished third on debut in a Keeneland maiden special weight April 10 for owner Baytown Partnerships and trainer Paul McEntee. McEntee Racing will handle the consignment. Baytown Dreamer is out of the stakes-winning Munnings mare Colerful Bride, a half sister to the multiple grade 2 winner Appealing Tale. The catalog also features a trio of yearlings from Highlander Training Center, a prominent Texas-based consignor, breaking and training operation, and fitness and therapy center that is entrusted with young stock for pre-training from high-level horsemen, including trainer Tom Amoss. "April is an exciting and busy time of year," said Kyle Wilson, Inglis Digital USA's senior director of sales and recruiting. "We have established runners and some young horses ready to get a start. We're also offering some breeding prospects if anyone has late seasons to fill."
