You Got To Me Will Be Sold at Tattersalls December

This year's Irish Oaks (G1) winner, You Got To Me (GB), will be sold at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale, heading a stellar lineup for the third edition of the Sceptre Sessions. A daughter of Newsells Park Stud's Nathaniel (IRE) and owned in partnership with Valmont and Bloodstock 24, the 3-year-old will be the first Irish Oaks winner sold at Tattersalls in the year of her victory in more than 40 years. You Got To Me won on her 2-year-old debut at Kempton last September and landed Lingfield's Oaks Trial Fillies Stakes on her seasonal comeback for Ralph Beckett. After fourth-place finishes in the Epsom Oaks (G1) and Ribblesdale Stakes (G2), she defeated Content (IRE) in the Irish Oaks before finishing a fine second to that rival in the Yorkshire Oaks (G1). The filly was bred by Dullingham Park Stud and Sarabex out of the stakes-winning Medicean mare Brushing and was bought as a yearling by Alex Elliott for 200,000 guineas (about US$237,912, according to Equibase) from Glenvale Stud at Tattersalls October Yearling Sale in 2022. She had also been a graduate of the Tattersalls December Foal Sale, making 62,000 guineas (about US$86,827) to BBA Ireland from the National Stud. Beckett said: "As my first Irish Oaks winner, You Got To Me will always be special. She is a gorgeous filly who has always been a pleasure to train and without doubt she has a huge future ahead of her both as a race filly and ultimately as a prized broodmare. She has already given her owners Valmont and Newsells Park Stud Bloodstock 24 enormous pleasure." Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony added: "It is very rare for classic-winning fillies to be offered for sale in the year of their classic triumphs, and You Got To Me will be the first Irish Oaks winner to grace the December Sale stage as a 3-year-old for a very long time. "She is by a wonderful sire in Nathaniel from a fabulous Moyglare Stud family, and not only does she have all the credentials to be an outstanding broodmare, she also looks set to be among the very best of her generation as a race filly on the global stage next year." The sale takes place Dec. 2-5, with the Sceptre Sessions being held Dec. 2-3.
