Structor Sold to Japanese Farm for Stud Duty

Ramiro Restrepo's Marquee Bloodstock Agency reported a stallion deal has been made for an unidentified Japanese farm to purchase Structor, who won the 2019 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Presented by Coolmore America (G1T). "What a ride, from pinhooking him with Joe (Pickerrell) to the Breeders' Cup experience, and now to stud duty," Marquee Bloodstock posted on Twitter. "Huge thank you to (owners) Jeff Drown, Don Rachel, and @TheRealChadCBr1 (the Twitter handle for trainer Chad Brown)." Quarantine and shipping details are still being worked out, according to Restrepo, who added the owners had been fielding multiple inquiries from international owners. Bred in Kentucky by Three Chimneys Farm, Structor is a 5-year-old son Palace Malice out of the winning More Than Ready mare Miss Always Ready, a sister to Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G2T) winner More Than Real. Marquee bought Structor for $160,000 at the 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale from Gainesway's consignment and pinhooked the colt at the Ocala Breeders' Sales March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale. Agent Mike Ryan bought Structor at OBS for $850,000 from Pick View's consignment. Structor was undefeated at 2, winning his debut at Saratoga Race Course and adding the Pilgrim Stakes (G3) and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. Sidelined by an airway problem during part of his 3-year-old season, Structor didn't race in 2020 and was unplaced in one allowance optional claiming start as a 4-year-old in 2021. He finished with $710,880 in earnings.
