Madefromlucky is a 9-year-old son of Lookin At Lucky out of the Pulpit mare Home From Oz, a full sister to three-time leading sire Tapit. He did most of his running for owners Cheyenne Stables and Mac Nichol and trainer Todd Pletcher, earning victories in the Peter Pan Stakes (G2), West Virginia Derby (G2), Greenwood Cup Stakes (G3), and Temperence Hill Invitational Stakes while placing in eight other black-type events, including the Rebel Stakes (G2). Racing from ages 2-5, Madefromlucky retired with a 6-5-5 record from 24 starts and earnings of $1,351,500. The chestnut entered stud in 2018 at Northview Stallion Station in Maryland and stood the 2021 season there for $5,000.
