Ocala Breeders' Sales held a Jan. 25 under tack preview for the Horses of Racing Age section of the Winter Mixed Sale ahead of the two-day auction which begins Jan. 26. A pair of horses—Hip 306, a 4-year-old colt by More Than Ready, and Hip 315, a 3-year-old Distorted Humor colt—each worked the fastest three-eighths of a mile, stopping the timer in a swift :32 2/5.

Consigned by Woodard Sales, agent, Hip 306 is an unraced 4-year-old colt out of the Elusive Quality mare Fanfire, a half sister to grade 3 winner and grade 1-placed Straight Story. Hailing from the family of multiple grade 1 winner Take Charge Lady, the dark bay or brown colt named Load to Fire was bred in New York by Gallagher's Stud and is consigned as a racing or stallion prospect.

"He is a nice horse, obviously he is really fast," said Forrest Woodard. "He is ready to go on to the next step. We just missed the 2-year-old sales with him, but we brought him back midway through his 3-year-old season and he has done very well since then. The extra time did him good. It helped him. He grew up a lot. He is a solid individual, and he is ready to be a racehorse now."

Hip 315 is an unraced 3-year-old colt out of the multiple stakes-winning and graded stakes-placed mare Goldstryke Glory (by Second in Command). Consigned by Oscar Brown Stables, the colt was bred in Kentucky by Phoenix Rising Farms and the Distorted Humor Syndicate.

"He is looking good. He has done everything right the whole time," said Oscar Brown. "He looked great on the track and he came back to the barn great. He is a nice horse, and he has a lot of class."

Just shy of earning a bullet, Hip 262, Herecomesyourman, zipped three furlongs in :32 3/5 for Woodard Sales. The veteran campaigner, a 2014 gray or roan son of Distorted Humor—Seattle Qui, by Seattle Slew, has bankrolled $262,504 from 33 lifetime starts. A half brother to graded stakes winner Know More, Herecomesyourman was unplaced in a pair of starts in 2020.

"The old man stepped up and did his job today," Woodard said. "He is all racehorse. He is ready to go on. I just wanted to show that he is sound. When you look at his form, he knows the program. He still has his turn of foot. I am very pleased with him, he made us all look good."

Also working in :32 3/5 was Hip 338, a newly-turned 3-year-old colt by Brody's Cause  named Brother Brody. Consigned by L. G., agent, the Kentucky-bred colt is from the family of multiple stakes winner Logan's Mist.

A trio of horses recorded three-eighths moves in :32 4/5. Hip 256 is a 3-year-old daughter from the first crop of Tourist  consigned by Wes Carter, agent. The dark bay or brown Maryland-bred filly is out of the multiple stakes-winning Cuvee mare Red's Round Table and descends from the family of graded stakes winner Sun and Snow. Wes Carter, agent, also sent out Hip 274, a 2018 son of Beautyinthepulpit named Lemon Creek Louie. The unraced New Jersey-bred is produced from the Rock Slide mare Swimmer and is from the family of stakes winner Miss Running Vany.

Rounding out the group was Hip 303, Tipsy Tourist, another offspring of Tourist. Consigned by L. G., agent, the Kentucky-bred filly is out of the Congrats mare Dyslexicperfection and is from the family of 2015 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) winner Wavell Avenue.
